Policy Summit

2020 Hope Starts Here Policy Summit

Engaging as & with policy influencers to shape equitable conditions for Detroit children & families.

Virtual Policy Summit | October 13th | 10am – 1pm

This year’s virtual summit title plays off the feast metaphor I introduced during my formal introduction speech at the 2019 Hope Starts Here Summit, in which I stated that our collective work could create a “feast” from which children and families ‘could quite literally eat’. In order to partake of this feast, however, families, parents and other community stakeholders must also be at the table. As we work to ensure equitable access and services, it is vitally important that those generally excluded are now seated at planning and decision tables.” – Denise Smith
