In 2020, HSH rounded out its implementation office with the hire of an Implementation Success Manager focused on data and project management and an Implementation Research and Policy Manager to enact an intentional focus on the intersection of practice, data, research, and policy. We began norming for stakeholders an implementation rhythm, participants’ roles and responsibilities, processes, and tools. We launched a communication campaign elevating the importance of early childhood education coupled with a Thanksgiving Day Parade float to elucidate the vision of hope for the community, and developed language to publicly define Hope Starts Here (HSH):
Hope Starts Here is a connector of early childhood efforts in Detroit to mobilize a citywide commitment to support our youngest children and families, through a common vision, coordinated implementation, collective advocacy, and a shared infrastructure.
