Hope Starts Here in partnership with local business kicks-off Technical Assistance (TA) Tuesday:  Early Childhood Business Development Series

Early childhood programs are small businesses that support our neighborhoods, communities, and the economy. For that reason, HSH partnered with IFF, and HSH Imperative 4, to assist in designing and recruiting experts for a technical assistance series in support of early childhood business development.

TA Tuesday: Early Childhood Business Development Series helps childcare providers navigate the business side of opening childcare care.

The first workshop, The Power of Design, showcased design guides for neighborhood businesses and real estate developers while offering design tips you can put into practice today. Presented by Design Core Detroit, the program aimed to educate, empower, and inspire many of Detroit’s brick-and-mortar businesses in how design can strengthen Detroit communities and have a profound and lasting impact on the health and prosperity of neighborhood business.

The next workshop,Navigating the Child Care Center Property Purchase, takes place on February 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

During this workshop, Attorney L. Nicole Hunter, Esq. from the Allen Law Group, P.C., will discuss the complexities of purchasing property for a childcare center, from establishing search criteria for properties to what to expect during the purchasing process, zoning requirements, and how to safeguard your business and employees. You’ll gain valuable insights and information on practical and legal matters involving property purchases for your childcare center.
