These grants are made possible by the historic Michigan budget that recently passed and included several increases in childcare spending and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, signed in March 2021 allocating $23.97 billion to states, territories and Tribes with the goal of providing financial relief to childcare providers to alleviate unexpected business costs associated with the pandemic, and help keep childcare providers operations running.
